2SM 7 O’Clock Special with Ken Sparkes – Bernie Taupin
Dur: 13’27”, Stereo, 9.4 MB
Audio credit: Super Radio Network/Broadcast Operations Group

**This is actually a pre-edit segment tape for this special. We’re not sure of a final mix tape in existence, at least not yet.**

Ken Sparkes – 1994 Demo Tape
Dur: 8’53”, Stereo, 6.2 MB
Audio credit: KJS Enterprises

**Ken recorded many demo tapes in his broad media life – here’s one from 1994. There were two contact phone numbers at the end which are probably still valid bar the addition of the extra number. We have edited these out.

WWOS Cricket jingles August 1991
Dur: 8’13”, Stereo, 5.7 MB
Audio credit: Metropolis Audio/DDB Needham

**This is a jingles master recorded at Metropolis Audio for Channel 9 and the 1991 series of cricket jingles. Probably a stepdown reel as the track listing is photocopied onto the box with a notation it was recorded at 38cms (15 IPS) – this reel was 19cms (7.5 IPS). Seems to me it slows down initially too – it may have been dubbed from a tape which wasn’t in particularly good shape. There doesn’t seem to be any other tapes for this one so I’m afraid this is the best we’ve got.

2SM 7 O’Clock Special with Steve Murphy – Carly Simon special – April 19th 1991
Dur: 31’21”, Stereo, 22.0 MB
Audio credit: Super Radio Network/Broadcast Operations Group

**Steve Murphy’s turn at the 7 O’Clock Special – this tape recorded as the show was going to air live.

2SM Dubbed Off Cart master reel
Dur: 26’55”, Mono/Stereo, 18.9 MB
Audio credit: Super Radio Network/Broadcast Operations Group

**Another compile reel of 2SM’s broadcast carts and other material – the tape does not have a box but a cuesheet is available here.
