**All audio related to this project was dubbed and restored by Frankster at Digi Spells Media, Sydney, June 20th to August 6th 2021. To enable the use of the airchecks intact and not in scoped form, they are presented here for promotional and entertainment purposes only. My thanks to all networks involved, and to David who supplied all the tapes for us to work on and restore.

Well, quite a date on which to start this, being friday the 13th and all, but what the heck. For the next few weeks, and probably months, we’re pausing the Fitzgerald Productions collection to bring you the results of an audio transfer project I’ve been involved with recently. The project started in late June and continued until August 6th, and now, finally it’s complete, and I can bring you what was transferred! So this week, here are the first five tapes!

**At the time of recording this one, a severe thunderstorm was making its’ way across Sydney and hovered right over 2WS’s transmitter site. Guess what happened? Yep! Lightning hit their tower resulting in them being thrown off air for a couple of minutes. You’ll hear this happening at 62’25” when it hits, then a gap until 64’55” when program resumed.

2WS Newsroom Bloopers – Christmas 1985
Dur: 10’34”, Stereo, 7.4 MB

**The speed variations opening this tape are intentional.
